Demolition and reconstruction of the existing San Pio X nursery school in the San Pio X district of the Municipality of Spinetoli, transforming it into a modern day-care centre. The project aims to create a welcoming, safe space able to accommodate 20 children aged 0–2.
The project has been designed to create a stimulating and welcoming environment where very young children can explore and develop their potential in a setting that ensures comfort and safety.
The concept draws inspiration from early childhood games of recognising and matching shapes and colours, which are especially important for children under the age of three. This approach guided the design of the building volumes, which echo simple geometric forms such as the cylinder, arch, house shape, square and rectangle. The way these volumes intersect not only creates a dynamic, engaging environment, but also makes the different functions of the interior spaces legible from the outside.
